Grateful to who kindly displayed some of my works at the local
Most of my works are made to order and unfortunately I didn't have Wardie bay in stock (It has lots of colourful little houses!) so instead I took the opportunity to frame my paper cut of newhaven harbour!
Pictured at home as the day was very busy but so lovely to have my local work so close to home!

Framing continues!
I can never decide if my three bridges papercut looks best in black or white?
(Frames are approx 30cmx25cm)

Currently framing a number of pieces as I'm about to restock a local spot.
Also about to explore some new framing options because sadly these frames are no longer available. As such these look to be the last of this frame style whilst I find an alternative.
Pictured are the Kelpies (sold as a pair!) With each frame approx 25x20cm (available for sale)

Skye bridge - take 2
Still focused on some new designs at the moment and enjoying this angle on the Skye bridge with the Kyle lighthouse in focus too.
Second photo shows details without the green foliage on top so I need to do more drawing to the design to make the design work with or without the top green layer.
Feels like I'm getting close to a final design.

Sneak peek
Sometimes in chatting people will inspire my making; someone asked me if I'd attempted this landmark and so here I am...
I'm still working out if I want to keep it with some see through spaces or layer it up with more colours to show more landscape details.
I might even just draw it from a completely different angle 🤔
Curly paper as my mini assistant was helping so extra shadows in these quick photos too.

A visit to the today and lots of time exploring transportation with my little one but also noting some information on the which was opened on this date in 1890!
Love seeing detailed images and models for some inspiration (photos from the museum).

Working on making all my designs compatible to digital cutting, this would allow me to use my drawings in different ways and open up a whole host of products too.
Will be a bit of a learning curve and looks like it may still be a very hands on process but very exciting experiments!

Three times Three Bridges!
Been lovely working on multiple copies of the same design at the same time as it allows me to look at them in a different way or capture a wee photo like this showing each bridge in full detail.
Now to pop them in a frame.

Enjoying seeing three of the cuts side by side.
Giving some lovely inspiration for a larger artwork or some alternative display styles.
How lovely would this look in three frames in a nice long space!
These will be joined with the other bridges to make my three bridges papercuts design but I may explore a three part rail bridge cut soon.
Exciting to finally see my first experiments in twill and diamond twill weaving off the loom! A big learning curve but very happy with the results and looking forward to using the technique more in the future.

A rabbit weaving!
Some amazing weaving from a little toy loom, I have teamed up with my 3 year old to teach his bunny how to weave!
A reminder of the patience needed in weaving and how beautiful little mistakes are in telling the journey of the making!

End of the rainbow... on the rainbow
Nice to reach the end of this rainbow pattern in weaving but that means its onto some hand stitching.
Finding kid friendly plastic sewing needles to be the best for this as they're flexible and work easily inbetween all the threads.
Still have a little more room on the warp threads so one last, simple, weave to finish my journey into twill weaving.
