Every week our Community Cafe is getting busier and busier, especially since the Winter months have hit.

If you need somewhere warm and friendly to get away from the cold - pop by and grab a hot meal or cuppa - all we ask for is a donation - whatever you can give, we cover the rest.

This is a really exciting time for us, as we welcome a period of growth and an opportunity to strengthen our identity due to new projects, we are keen to see how new perspectives and fresh skills will support this change, and embed our responsive nature.

We're looking for Trustees who bring expertise and passion in financial management, mental health and wellbeing, housing and social care and diversity and inclusion.

We particularly encourage applications from individuals who reflect the diversity of the communities we work with, including those from underrepresented backgrounds and those with lived experience of the issues CVL addresses.

Take part in our FREE project to keep the heat in and the costs down.

We'll pop round to your home and carry out a quick scan to spot where precious heat is escaping. Then we'll fit simple, practical measures to trap that warmth right where you need it – in your rooms, not disappearing through gaps and cracks.

Think energy-saving light bulbs, radiator panels that bounce heat back into your room, draught excluders for your doors – all the little things that add up to real savings. Best of all, we won't be drilling holes or making permanent changes. Everything we fit can be easily removed if needed and it's completely FREE.

This Chinese New Year we celebrate the year of the Horse which brings fast-paced opportunities and better decision-making.

We're busy behind the scenes settling in new staff and recruiting for more, ready to take on these opportunities and inform greater decisions across CVL as we grow.
