We are CAFOD in the Diocese of Middlesbrough, your local contact for the Catholic Church’s official aid agency in England and Wales.

A better world needs all of us. We work with parish and school communities in the Diocese of Middlesbrough, by recruiting volunteers who promote our work of building sustainable livelihoods and responding to disasters by raising funds for CAFOD, to help people around the world. CAFOD Middlesbrough is one of a network of 21 Diocesan Offices around England and Wales.

Thank you for your support and efforts for CAFOD! Great work everyone! πŸ’š

A big thank you to Mrs Gracious and Mrs Moore - from CAFOD- for coming into school this morning. They told the children all about the work of CAFOD and what the money we raise can do. A brilliant launch for our lent walk challenges this half term. Look out for the dates of our walks in class newsletters this week and come and join us if you can! πŸ’œ CAFOD

We have been contacted by Sharon Matthews from CAFOD with a request for support in recruiting new volunteers to work with schools across the Diocese.

CAFOD will be running School Volunteer training at the end of February, and they are keen to welcome new volunteers from the Middlesbrough Diocese to take part.

If you are interested in supporting CAFOD’s work with schools and young people, please see the attached information for further details on how to get involved.

We would be grateful if this opportunity could also be shared within your networks and on social media, to help reach anyone who may be interested.

Thank you for your continued support.

Bishop Moth has been appointed by Pope Leo as the new Archbishop of Westminster.

We thank Cardinal Nichols for guiding the Catholic community in England and Wales over the past 16 years and wish him a happy retirement.

As we enter this new chapter, our prayers are with the Archbishop-Elect, as he takes on this important role in the Church and society.

Mariam was displaced by conflict and faced challenges to keep warm in her new home.

Your support means that our local teams can provide more fuel, blankets, hot food and more. Don't wait this Advent. ‡️
