Nick and Rob have been out in Northern Ireland for a pre-start meeting on a new project. These early conversations are always important as they give everyone the chance to get aligned, understand the project requirements, and make sure the right approach is in place before work begins. For us, that’s where a strong project starts, working closely with the client from day one.

Rowan View was designed to be more than a secure mental health unit. It was built to support recovery, dignity and independence, creating a therapeutic environment for people with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

Working alongside Kier Group and IBI Group, we helped specify and deliver secure window and façade solutions that supported the wider vision for the site. Across the facility, the focus was clear: safety, security, natural light, ventilation and a modern environment that feels considered rather than clinical.

Completed in November 2020, the £53m Rowan View facility marked an important step forward in medium secure mental health care. Swipe through to learn more about this project.

The purpose-built hospital in Leigh provides inpatient services for adults with mental health needs, as well as support for people living with dementia and memory loss.

We worked on the project alongside Kier Group, helping to deliver secure systems for an environment where privacy, dignity and wellbeing all matter. With single en-suite bedrooms, communal living areas and activity rooms, Atherleigh Park was created to give service users space to recover in a setting that feels safe, considered and supportive.

Working alongside R H Irving Construction Ltd, Pleydell Smithyman, and the wider project team, we helped deliver the architectural glazing for this local commercial project for Klondyke.

Our scope included the design, manufacture, and installation of curtain walling arches, top hung windows, external automatic sliding doors, and internal automatic sliding doors.

The finished centre now provides 3,500sqm of retail space, including homewares, garden furniture, tools, pet care, clothing, crafts, and a 300-seater restaurant with an in-house bakery.

A strong local project, and one we’re proud to have been part of.

We might not have won last night, but being nominated for the BUSINESSiQ North East Awards is still a great achievement for the team. It reflects the work that goes on behind the scenes every day.
