Summer has arrived at Chadwicks and with it, a selection of seasonal small plates designed to celebrate some of the best produce the season has to offer.

From dressed Whitby crab and scorched Cornish mackerel to Shetland mussels in a Chardonnay, garlic & thyme cream, our new small plates menu is perfect for sharing, grazing over a glass of wine, or simply enjoying alongside your favourite dishes.

Alongside the seafood, you’ll find favourites including chorizo & smoked paprika croquettes, whipped chicken liver parfait with Guinness & red onion marmalade, and chargrilled hispi cabbage with chive creamed cheese and roasted hazelnut crumb.

Maltby Cricket Club 80th Anniversary Event.

Sunday 5th July 2026.
Starts 11.00am until late evening.

This will be a day to celebrate our history, honor the individuals who have shaped the club, and look forward to our future.

The event will include:

- Junior and adult cricket taster sessions
- Anniversary cricket match
- Cream teas
- Bar open
- Fundraising activities, including a raffle and cake stall
- Maltby Kids Meal deal (includes a hot dog, drink, and snack)
- Launch of our exciting crowdfunding campaign

Everyone is welcome, and we look forward to celebrating this milestone with you.

As Maltby Cricket Club celebrates its 80th anniversary, we’re proud to be part of a story that stretches back generations.

Many local people know Chadwicks Inn today as a Michelin Guide-recognised restaurant and holder of 2 AA Rosettes, but our connection to Maltby’s history runs much deeper. Following the Second World War, the pub was renamed The Pathfinders Inn by former RAF Mosquito pilot John Liddle, honouring the famous Pathfinder Force and the area’s links to nearby RAF Thornaby. Today, The Pathfinder’s Bar still displays original wartime photographs and memorabilia from that era.

The pub also shares a long standing connection with Maltby Cricket Club. Before the club had its own facilities, the pub served as a gathering place for players and supporters, strengthening the bond between the village, the club and the local community.

We’re delighted to be sponsoring Maltby Cricket Club during this special anniversary year and helping to continue a relationship that has been part of Maltby’s story for decades.

Here’s to celebrating the past, supporting the present and looking forward to an exciting season ahead!
