Monday again… anyone else feel like they’ve only just sat down from Friday? 🩷

We’re back at Chapter 17 from 7am–2pm, with breakfast, a cuppa and a friendly face to help ease you into the week. No need to be full of conversation first thing — we’ll give you chance to get your coffee in!

Sunday dinner tastes even better when you haven’t had to peel a potato or argue about whose turn it is to wash up! 💗

We’re open 9–3 this Sunday at Chapter 17, with breakfasts to get you going and a proper Sunday lunch to settle you back down again.

Our giant Yorkshires come filled with chicken & stuffing, roast beef, gammon or sausages, with mash, veg, roasties and gravy. The sort of dinner that might have you loosening your waistband before you’ve even finished! 😋

We’ve also got hot roast buns with chicken & stuffing, roast beef or gammon, served with roasties and gravy.

And joining our Sunday menu is cauliflower cheese! Because apparently we looked at a plate full of Sunday dinner and thought, “Do you know what that needs? Cheese.” 🧀💗

There’s apple pie or cake with custard afterwards too. You might be full, but we all know pudding goes in a different bit!

Bring your family, fetch a neighbour or pop in on your own — there’s a warm welcome waiting. We love seeing familiar faces and getting to know new ones. A little café is about more than what’s on the plate; it’s the chats, the catch-ups and the people who keep coming through the door. 💗

Our hand battered fish is on today with homemade chips, mushy peas and a slice of bread and butter. We’ve also got parmos, Hunters chicken, lasagne, cheesy cottage pie, Cumberland sausage ring and double cheeseburgers — plenty to warm you up and send you into the weekend with a full tummy.

We’re open 7am–2pm, with breakfasts to get you going and a proper lunch to keep you going. Pop in on your own, bring someone along or take something home — there’s always a warm welcome at our little café.

We’ve got a lovely line-up at Chapter 17, with proper comfort food and plenty to tempt you:

The liver and onions always gets people talking… usually either “ooh, I love that!” or “my mam used to make me eat it!” There doesn’t seem to be much in between 🤭

Wednesday’s specials are ready, and I think we’ve covered just about every kind of Wednesday mood 💗

Fancy a parmo? We’ve got you. Fancy a Sparmo? Yes, it’s breadcrumbed Spam with béchamel and cheese, and yes, it’s back on the menu! There’s battered Spam with chips and your choice of gravy, curry or beans too.

If you’re after something cosy, we’ve got lasagne, Cumberland sausage ring, mince crumble, chilli con carne and a big bowl of homemade chunky veg broth with lentils, a dumpling and a crusty roll. The sort of lunch that makes you want to stay sat down for a while.

And if you’ve got room afterwards, there’s winter berry crumble and custard or homemade rice pudding with a dollop of jam. We won’t judge if you’ve been thinking about pudding since breakfast.

If you know, you know — breadcrumbed Spam topped with béchamel sauce and cheese. And if that’s still not enough Spam for one Tuesday, we’ve got battered Spam with chips and your choice of gravy, curry or beans too. We do like to give it a proper outing!

We’ve also got homemade veg broth with lentils and a dumpling, served with a crusty roll. Just the thing when you want something warm and comforting. Or choose from parmo, chilli con carne with homemade tortillas, lamb’s liver and onions, cheesy cottage pie, a double cheeseburger or a spicy bean burger.

🍂 There’s something about autumn that makes you fancy a little sweet treat, and we’ve been busy making homemade cinder toffee!

Golden, crunchy and full of those lovely little bubbles you can see in the photos. It’s bagged up and ready to take home for £1.20 a bag — although we won’t judge if it doesn’t make it all the way home 🤎

🎄✨ Christmas Wreath Making at Chapter 17 ✨🎄

Join us for a festive afternoon on Sunday 29th November, 4–6pm, when the lovely Philippa Storey will guide us through making our own Christmas wreaths.

You’ll start with a 20cm base and fresh mixed greenery, then decorate your wreath with three pine cones, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks, berries, small baubles, a bow, hanging ribbon and twinkle lights. Take a peek at our photo from last year — everyone’s wreath turned out beautifully! ✨

There’ll be complimentary mince pies and a hot drink or a glass of fizz to enjoy while you make yours. 🥂

It’s £20 per person, with proceeds going towards our Linthorpe Village community defibrillator and bleed kit fundraiser. A lovely afternoon together, a wreath to take home, and a chance to support something that matters to our village. 🩷

💗 MONDAY AT CHAPTER 17 💗

And just like that… the weekend’s disappeared and Monday has come knocking again 😂
But at least we can make it a little better with a proper homemade dinner and a warm welcome.

We’ve got a lovely cosy menu on today — proper comfort food, generous plates and the sort of dinners that feel like someone’s mam has made them for you. ❤️

There’s our Parmo, Lambs Liver & Onions, Cheesy Cottage Pie, Double Cheeseburger, Pork Loin Chops and a good old Chicken & Stuffing Bun with chips and gravy.

And because Monday definitely deserves pudding…
we’ve made homemade rice pudding with a dollop of jam 😍
Plus winter berry crumble & custard — because the weather is definitely starting to tell us what time of year it is!
