Exciting things are happening at Middlesbrough Community Learning – Employment & Skills Hub! As we prepare to move into our new premises and expand the support we offer, we’re recruiting for a number of roles.

We’re sharing a fantastic role with the Glowsticks Project Café & Hub, who are looking for a Support & Skills Development Worker / Teaching Assistant to join their team
The Glowsticks Project supports autistic young people and adults, along with individuals with ADHD and learning disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence and brighter futures.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will:
- Support learning, communication and life skills
- Help individuals build confidence and independence
- Support employability and hospitality skills in a real café setting
- Provide practical and emotional support
This role would suit someone with experience in support work, education, or working with neurodivergent individuals, who is patient, positive and passionate about inclusion.
This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week (daytime hours – no evenings).
This is a fast-paced environment and not a standard catering assistant role — you’ll be supporting people to develop real skills and work towards real goals.
