Tonight our U14s all Girls hard ball team played at a sunny Acklam Park - a first in the club’s history! Some excellent cricket on display from both the Middlesbrough Maidens and Norton Girls, played with fantastic spirit and teamwork.

A special mention to Isa who took 4️⃣ wickets and scored a brilliant 18 runs! 🏏

🚨OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE🚨

Congratulations to 2nd team captain Rory Cotterill on his brilliant batting display last Saturday.

The skipper carried his bat through the innings and finished 88 not out from 141 balls. Rory hit 13 fours in his innings!

This knock allowed the team to finish 213-5 in pursuit 232. This left the team with a total of 12 points!

🚨WEEKEND RESULTS🚨

Saturday saw the 1st team take a vital win at home to Marske. Ankur Malik did the damage with both bat and ball taking another 5fer and scoring 57. He was joined by James Lowe who seen the chase through with 54 not out!

The 2nd team earned an impressive draw away from home to Wolviston. Daw once again the pick of the bowlers but it was a skippers knock of 88 not out from Rory that allowed us to finish with 12 points.

Sunday also saw the 3rd team earn an impressive draw but this time at home to Hartlepool. Max was again superb with the ball and took 4-20 whilst Ebans 2nd 50 of the season allowed us to finish 178/7 in chase of 215

Another jam packed week full of cricket next week. There’s plenty of action at Acklam Park starting Monday with our U17 steelers.

Wednesday see’s the maidens of in action on home soil whilst the 1st team take on Richmond in the MacMillan cup semi final!
