Happy LGBT+ History Month! Representation matters, especially in this somewhat decisive climate we find ourselves in. However we have made progress, and still are doing so. We both have to be proud of our communities achievements and be vigilant that none of the hard won rights and taken away. We also need to raise up others in the community who need support. I’m so grateful to the generations before me who fought so hard, some of whom unfortunately paid the ultimate price, for dignity, human rights, respect and laws we now enjoy. It’s important to learn from that history, show respect and also be inspired by their bravery. I’m so proud of all my friends in the LGBT+ community who are boldly authentic and the radical kindness they show themselves and others is the very best of humanity.
