Il est temps de vous présenter un peu plus les groupes à l'affiche. Aujourd'hui, on parle de WODE (Black Metal - UK).

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, ce quatuor formé à Manchester propose un black metal teinté de death mélodique (qui n’est pas sans rappeler Chapel of Disease sur certains aspects).

Formé en 2011, le groupe évolue initialement dans un répertoire très trve black metal inspiré par les légendes du genre. Le son proposé par les anglais évolue par la suite à partir de 2021, année de parution du 3e album intitulé “Burn in Many Mirrors”. WODE y mêle des influences plus variées (death, punk, indus) pour se créer un monstre sonique brut atypique dans le paysage du black moderne.

Le 4e album du groupe, intitulé “Uncrossing The Keys” (oct. 2025) paru chez l’excellent label 20 Buck Spins vient confirmer la tendance. Plus mélodique mais tout aussi énergique, WODE élargit encore ses horizons avec des passages tantôt doomesques, tantôt planants, ou encore teintés de gothrock mais en conservant l’essence du black metal originel.

WODE c’est une boule de mana brûlant d’un feu sombre, un concentré d’énergie pour les oreilles ! Allez goûter ça tout de suite, et surtout soyez là pour eux au Courts of Chaos Festival 2026.
