easyJet has confirmed that two return flights between Manchester Airport and Portugal have been cancelled over the coming days due to planned industrial action.

Portugal-based easyJet cabin crew are due to strike from October 2 to October 6, with the walkout expected to cause disruption to flights operating from Lisbon, Porto and Faro — all destinations served by easyJet from Manchester Airport.

The strike, announced by the National Union of Civil Aviation Flight Personnel, also coincides with a bank holiday in Portugal on October 5.

easyJet has not confirmed which specific Manchester flights have been cancelled. However, the airline says affected passengers have been contacted directly and offered options including a free transfer or a refund.

Passengers travelling to or from Portugal between October 2 and 6 are being urged to check their flight status using easyJet’s flight tracker.
