Announcement!! 15 years to the weekend from their final party on halloween 2010 - Manchester breakbeat night FUBAR Breaks is resurrected on Saturday 1st November for a free Day of the Dead party at The Talleyrand

Fancy dress optional and encouraged! You’ll find hip hop and electro in the front bar from 7-11pm provided by Jase Bad Finger Crawley and breaks in the back until 12.45am from the original residents!

BagThing will be there and we suggest you are too!!

We’ve had another hugely successful day today handing out The Student Guide 2025 at both and Fresher Fairs!

We’ll be back again tomorrow at The Sugden Centre to meet more of the new students and show them Manchester has to offer!

We’ve been in the thick of it today at the Freshers Fair handing out The Student Guide 2025 to all the students attending.

We’re really proud of the product this year, containing venues, gigs, entertainment and culture and we’re very grateful to everyone who has advertised in it!

We will be back again at the Students Union from 10am tomorrow, also covering the fair so it will another busy one!

It’s happening once again!! The only one stop guide worth being involved in to let all the new students coming to Manchester in September know just what our city has to offer!

Last year’s guide had everything from gigs, events and festivals to theatre shows and cultural spaces. Our aim is to provide the students with a wealth of options for entertainment and places to visit!

Our team has had the pleasure of putting our frames up in this week and welcoming them as a new stockist! They have refurbished their upstairs and tonight is the grand opening of their very impressive ‘Kamera Ballroom’ with a night of awesome music hosted by - go check it out and support the local scene!! Lætitia Sadier (Stereolab) returns for her first Manchester solo performance since the release of Rooting for Love (Drag City, 2024). Her fifth solo album and most structurally expansive to date, it blends minimalist compositions with jazz chords and layered vocals. The record was universally praised for its thematic depth, exploring love as a force for personal and societal healing. 

Francis Lung (WU LYF) performs selections from his songwriting catalogue, honing a unique style that balances authentic passion with a restrained formality, to strip pop music down to its emotional core. 

Both artists have reignited respective legacy projects of late with Stereolab last month detonating their first studio album in 15 years, Instant Holograms on Metal Film. WU LYF also reunited this year, marking their return with the single ‘A New Life Is Coming’ and a string of sold-out live shows.
