July 2024: This sweet young girl had received a shrapnel wound to her right arm. Amazingly there was still perfusion to her hand. As there was a significant bone and tissue loss the only option to save her arm was to forshorten it, anastomose the severed vessels and nerves placing an external fixator to stabilise.
