The Tin is facing growing financial pressures and needs urgent help to survive for the future. Can you contribute a small amount each month to help us thrive?

Just like Grassroots Music Venues across the country, the Tin is facing combined challenges from escalating costs and reduced income. It is now increasingly difficult to keep our doors open and protect everything that Tin has come to mean to artists, audiences, and the wider community.

In recent times we have all become more aware of the importance that local live music and other cultural events and activities play in creating vibrant communities and promoting physical and mental wellbeing - these benefits become even more important in difficult times.

As a Community Arts Centre overseen by The Tin Music and Arts (Charity No. 1152636), the Tin is respected for its vital role in delivering a unique venue in Coventry's cultural scene providing a valuable and welcoming space for people to enjoy music and other performances. Less well known are the highly successful education and mentoring programmes we deliver to tutor school-age musicians in being in a band and to individuals looking to pursue technical or event management careers. We also provide vital rehearsal spaces for local musicians and a much-needed space for community events.

We continue to pursue grant funding wherever we can, but support for core operating costs is especially hard to secure. This means regular donations are more important than ever. They help us cover the day-to-day costs of keeping The Tin running and provide vital stability at a time when small venues like ours are facing mounting financial strain.

If you want to help ensure The Tin is still here for the next 20 years, now is the time to act. Please consider making a small regular donation today. Your support will help us meet rising costs, and you will be a critical part of the Tin’s continued mission to make a difference.

The link below includes suggested donation amounts, but any amount you choose to contribute will help make a difference. If you can add Gift Aid to your donation, the Taxman will help the Tin too.

Every contribution, whether regular or one-off, will help support The Tin survive and thrive for the future.

Saturday 17th October
Aziz Ibrahim Lahore To Longsight Tour Live At ArchiveliverpooL Manchester-born guitarist and composer Aziz Ibrahim whose career cuts through some of the most iconic names in British music. From his early days with Simply Red to stepping into the shoes of John Squire in The Stone Roses, Aziz has built a reputation as a fearless and versatile musician.

A sought-after collaborator, he has worked with Ian Brown, Paul Weller, Asia, Steve Hogarth of Marillion, and Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree, contributing to acclaimed recordings and electrifying live performances.

Now, 25 years after it was first recorded, his long-lost debut album Lahore to Longsight finally sees the light of day. Featuring an all-star lineup including members of The Smiths, The Stone Roses and Primal Scream, the album stands as a powerful statement of Aziz’s artistry as both a guitarist and frontman.

Released as a limited-edition double vinyl for Record Store Day 2026 and backed by a full band UK tour, 2026 marks the long-overdue arrival of one of Manchester’s most compelling musical voices.
