Clarion Security Systems
Commercial, industrial, and public sector CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms since 1996.
Supporting the next generation.
This July, we’re pleased to be welcoming a young person into Clarion for work experience within our administration team.
It’s a small part of what we do, but an important one. Giving someone early exposure to a working environment — understanding how a business operates day to day, building confidence, and developing practical skills — can make a real difference.
Our admin function sits at the heart of Clarion, supporting everything from customer communication to job coordination and compliance. It offers a great foundation for understanding how all parts of the business connect.
We look forward to providing a positive and structured experience, and to playing a small role in their early career journey.
A warm welcome to Olly.
Strengthening standards across our engineering team.
We’re pleased to have our ECS card scheduling now fully in place for all field engineers at Clarion.
This ensures that qualifications, renewals, and ongoing compliance are planned, tracked, and maintained proactively — rather than reactively. It’s a structured approach that supports both the individual engineer and the wider business.
With the recent changes across ECS, FESS and JIB rules, this has been no small exercise. Interpreting requirements, aligning qualifications, and building a system that works in practice has required time, care, and attention to detail.
For our clients, it provides reassurance that every engineer attending site holds the appropriate, up-to-date credentials.
For our team, it brings clarity and forward planning — removing uncertainty and supporting continuous development.
A thank you to Rebecca for leading this work and putting a clear, robust system in place.
It’s another step in reinforcing the standards we work to every day, and in making sure our people are always equipped, compliant, and ready to deliver.
A busy month on the compliance front at Clarion.
We’re pleased to confirm the successful renewal of our SafeContractor accreditation.
SafeContractor is a thorough, audit-style accreditation that reviews our documentation, processes, and credentials in detail — not just a sample. It provides a comprehensive check of how we operate, particularly in relation to health & safety and compliance.
Maintaining this standard requires consistency, accuracy, and ongoing attention across the business. It’s not something achieved once, but something we continue to demonstrate year after year.
It’s an accreditation we’re proud to hold, and one that reflects the importance we place on doing things properly — for our clients, our team, and the environments we work in.
A strong result, and part of what has been a very busy and productive month for compliance.

Yesterday didn’t quite go to plan.
One of our engineers was involved in a road traffic accident around 5pm when another vehicle struck the rear of his van. It was, in his words, “a frightening experience,” but thankfully he is okay — just shaken and sore. The van was left undriveable and the police attended the scene.
What stood out wasn’t just the incident, but what followed.
With it happening late in the day, it wasn’t the easiest situation to resolve — but from the moment it happened, the team pulled together without hesitation. From coordinating with insurers to arranging recovery and covering duties, everyone stepped in to make sure he got back safely. As he later said, he had “never experienced this level of support” in his career.
A special mention to Becky, who returned to our offices later that evening to pick him up and drive him into Manchester to meet his family, who had a long-planned dinner booked. It meant he was still able to make a special occasion he had been really looking forward to.
We’re incredibly proud of the team for going the extra mile and making a difficult situation just that little bit easier.
Incidents like this remind us that beyond the systems and services we deliver, it’s the people behind Clarion who make the real difference.
Investing in safety and standards.
Congratulations to Phil on successfully completing his Harness Inspection course.
This is an important step in further strengthening our approach to health & safety across the business. Having in-house capability to inspect and manage safety equipment not only improves efficiency, but reinforces our focus on prevention, compliance, and doing things properly.
At Clarion, health & safety isn’t just a requirement — it’s embedded in how we operate day to day, on every site and every job.
Well done Phil, and thank you for continuing to raise the bar.
A step forward for the Clarion fleet.
As part of our ongoing investment in the business, we’ve been upgrading and standardising our vehicles — and are pleased to be returning to Ford as our fleet of choice.
This latest phase sees over 65% of our fleet now transitioned to Ford, with that figure set to rise to over 70% next week.
For us, this isn’t just about vehicles. It’s about reliability, consistency, and ensuring our engineers have the right tools to deliver a professional, dependable service to our clients every day.
A more modern, aligned fleet also supports efficiency across the business — from logistics and maintenance through to the overall presentation on site.
A practical improvement, but an important one — and part of a wider commitment to continually strengthening how we operate.
The rollout continues.
Another important milestone for Clarion this week.
Following yesterday’s NSI audit, we’re proud to have achieved our second consecutive clean report.
Our NSI NACOSS Gold accreditation is widely recognised as the highest standard in the security systems industry. It independently assesses not only the technical quality of our installations, but also how we run the business — from our processes and risk management to staff competence and ongoing compliance.
Achieving a clean report for the second time reflects the consistency and discipline behind the scenes. It’s not just about passing an audit — it’s about maintaining standards every day.
For our clients, this provides real peace of mind — knowing that the systems protecting their people, property, and information are delivered and maintained to a rigorously audited standard.
For our team, it creates a strong and structured framework to work within — supporting clarity, accountability, and professionalism across everything we do.
Thank you to everyone at Clarion who contributes to maintaining these standards day in, day out.
Consistency matters — and we’ll continue to hold that line.
Thirty years.
On Saturday 14th March, Clarion Security Systems turned 30.
What started as a small, determined business has grown into something we’re incredibly proud of — built on long-standing relationships, loyal customers, and a team that genuinely cares about doing things properly.
Over the years, we’ve seen huge changes in technology, standards, and the industry itself, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to quality, trust, and doing the job right.
To our clients — many of whom have been with us for years — thank you for your continued confidence in us.
To our team — past and present — thank you for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism.
And to everyone who has supported Clarion along the way… we wouldn’t be here without you.
Here’s to the next chapter. 🥂
