BMW M4C 🍌- 538bhp 🚗💨

The BMW S55 engine’s factory crank hub design is a known weak point, particularly on tuned or aggressively driven cars. The multi-piece friction-fit hub can slip under high torque loads, causing the crankshaft and camshaft timing to fall out of sync. In severe cases, this can lead to engine misfires, loss of power, and potentially catastrophic internal engine failure. We supplied and fitted Insane Performance 4-pin crank hub solution to stop the risk of spinning, making it one of the most important preventative modifications for S55-powered vehicles and helping to protect the engine’s long-term reliability.

Having previously fitted SLN downpipes, VRSF Chargecooler + single midpipe, MMX Performance charge pipes, the car was ready to go on the dyno - making 538bhp / 566ftlb.

BACK IN STOCK 🚨- The JDY Oil Cooler Protection Plate is a simple yet essential upgrade for all S58-equipped vehicles. On the S58 engine, the factory oil cooler is mounted low in the front of the vehicle, directly in the path of road debris such as stones, gravel and other hazards commonly encountered during daily driving and spirited use. While this location provides excellent airflow for cooling performance, it also leaves the oil cooler vulnerable to impact damage.

A punctured oil cooler can quickly lead to oil leaks, loss of oil pressure, and potentially catastrophic engine damage if not addressed immediately. Unfortunately, even small pieces of road debris can cause significant damage to the exposed cooling fins and core.

The JDY Oil Cooler Protection Plate is designed to provide a robust barrier between the oil cooler and road hazards without compromising airflow. Constructed from high-strength metal and engineered with strategically placed openings, the plate helps deflect impacts while maintaining the cooling efficiency required by the S58 platform. Its rigid structure adds an extra layer of defense where the factory setup offers little protection.

Whether your vehicle is a daily driver, weekend canyon carver, or track machine, the Protection Plate offers insurance against a costly repair. Given the vulnerable placement of the S58 oil cooler and the potential consequences of a puncture, this is a modification we recommend to every S58 owner.
