This beautiful and much loved girl was called Freya. She was the very much loved centre of her family. Her mum was a husky but they never knew what her dad was, but I think we can all agree that it made the most amazing mix 💚
Freya passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge with her mum and dad right with her, no stress for her, in her own bed. Although heartbreaking it really was a gentle and peaceful journey. Run free little one 🐾🌈

This beauty is Calypso, who (in her owner’s words) ❤️ she was the sassiest and yet most gentle and affectionate cat you could ever hope to meet ❤️
I just received a lovely review from Calypso’s owners today. It always blows me away when people take time in their grief to give such lovely feedback 💚
“I just wanted to say thank you for your support in letting our beautiful cat Calypso pass away peacefully at home. One of my biggest fears was that her last feeling would be of being scared, and knowing that she was comfortable and purring in my arms right until the end brings me so much comfort.
We all really appreciate your compassion and empathy.
Calypso is back with us now and her ashes will be planted with an olive tree, which was one of her favourite outdoor spots for napping (as seen pictured).”

What to do if your dog gets too hot
💦 *Wet then Vet* 💦
The latest heatstroke guidelines are out for dogs. The RVC (Royal Veterinary College) has looked at thousands of data points and if your dog has heatstroke then get them dunked in cold water (kee their head above the water) or use your hosepipe, then stick them in the car with the air conditioning on or the windows open and get to a vet. True heatstroke needs to be properly treated at a vet as it causes multiple organ damage that needs to be medically treated.
DO NOT cover your dog in wet towels, this actually heats them up further!
Signs of heatstroke in dogs:
‼️ Excessive panting
‼️Weakness
‼️Collapse
‼️Reddened gums
‼️Vomiting
‼️Diarrhoea
‼️Confusion
‼️Disorientation
‼️Lethargy/disinterest
‼️Muscle tremors
‼️Seizures
🐶 Don’t walk your dog in the midday sun (British dogs are not acclimatised to the sudden heatwave)
🐶 Walk short nosed dogs (French Bulldogs, Pugs, etc.) early in the morning or late at night. They are far more susceptible to the heat and struggle to cool themselves down.
🐶 Dogs don’t always recognise that they are getting too hot- especially if they are chasing a ball. Don’t throw balls for them in the heat, they will keep going beyond safe limits.

This lovely chap is Charlie, I visited him yesterday to help him to cross peacefully over the rainbow bridge. He loved a fabulous life on a lovely farm, his owner said she’d never known a dog with so much energy, loving trying to round up the horses on the farm.
It’s beautifully fitting that Charlie is remaining on his farm where he loved to run free 💚🐾🌈

It’s World Pet Memorial Day, a day to remember all those wonderful companions who gave us so much and are now across the rainbow bridge.
Feel free to add your pets below, and any favourite stories. Loved and missed, very definitely not forgotten 💚🌈🐾
This is my girl, Caoimhe, who I lost last April and was the inspiration behind starting this service 💚🌈🐾

This stunning boy is Howl, he lived life very much on his own terms and generally shunned the limelight (camera), but this is an amazing shot of this handsome lad. His owner has one of the most amazing cat friendly houses I’ve ever seen!
Howl wasn’t a fan of the vets, which is why his owner wanted him to pass at home. He passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge earlier this week.

On Tuesday this week I helped the lovely Catty cross over the rainbow bridge, his owner was keen to share his memories of him, so here are his words about his handsome friend:
“Catty was my loyal companion for 15 years. He walked into my life as a stray and refused to leave, I was chosen by him and it was such an honour. He was very affectionate but on his own terms, he also had a grumpy side! Everyone who met him commented on his character and personality. His expressions were so human-like, he would huff and puff when he was annoyed, and he was artistic too, licking fish shapes into the walls for some reason. He was always a big boy who really loved his food, especially tuna, and he was always waking me up at dawn for his breakfast, sat on my chest and pawing at my face til I got up. He was not happy when he was out on a diet, but on his last day he had 5 breakfasts and loads of lick treats. Having him by my side got me through so many tough times in my life, he was my constant, and I have never loved anyone more. Whilst people came and went, he was always there, purring away so loudly. I've never met a cat with a louder purr. It will be so hard to adjust to life without him and I can't believe he has gone. I'm so happy that he was able to pass away peacefully at home without any pain or stress.”

This beautiful smile belongs to lovely girl called Nell (with guest appearances from her brother Dylan). I visited Nell yesterday as she had cancer and had reached the point where life was getting a bit too much of a struggle. I met her in her favourite spot in some grass opposite her house, and with the sun shining it was the most fitting place for her to pass peacefully over the rainbow bridge. Sleep tight and run free little one 💚🐾🌈

This fabulous collection of photos is of the gorgeous Paddy. I visited Paddy to help him with his final journey on Sunday and he passed very peacefully over the rainbow bridge 💚🌈🐾
I think these photos show that he was clearly a larger than life character with a gorgeous smile. Sleep tight handsome boy 💚

On Sunday I visited the lovely Mia to help her cross the rainbow bridge, yesterday her owners sent me some beautiful photos of her in her prime. It gave me an idea to use this page as a memorial for those pets I go to visit, to celebrate their lives. If you would like to include your pet please send me some pictures of them, with a story if you’d like, and I’ll include them here to create a wall of happiness memories 💚🐾🌈
Here’s my gorgeous girl Caoimhe, who I lost in April last year 💚
