Lovely Liverpool yesterday in heat - that’s breaking this week to cooler drizzle

Two weeks today since I rescued Luna: settling perfectly now, even allowing me to drink coffee without too much drama in Liverpool.

Superb Saturday with friends over from Manchester - train ride to New Brighton and lunch in Ezra & Gil in glorious heat.

Perfect Friday - worked from dawn then it was punctuated by a long walk with Luna to Otterspool. Snoozed on me after and then a walk for a gluten free chippy tea in glorious Scouse sunshine.

Perfect morning (after work) of leisure in New Brighton on the Wirral. Just a 20 minute train ride from home too.

Luna loved the scale and calm grandeur of the Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool - just a 10 minute walk from our home in the Baltic Triangle.

4 weeks today since I lost Cassie and, despite telling myself and others, dog days are over, I relented and “rescued” Luna, a young Weimaraner, from Dogs Trust, Merseyside on Tuesday.
A very different dog but as wonderful as Cassie in my Liverpool apartment.
Moved from Manchester, 14 weeks ago, and Scouse life is sweet. Especially with a lively, lovely dog to share adventures with.

A hymn to loss:

A week where everything changed My beautiful border collie, Cassie, was euthanised after a short period of ill health and it’s been devastating.

Coming up to 3 weeks since I had to say goodbye to Cassie, my perfect border collie. She's been by my side for 9 years and led a great life since being rescued in September 2017.
It was a short and rapid decline over one week in mid April, where her movement stalled and her breathing increased.
She was the perfect companion: sweet, intelligent, docile and loving.
Gone.
But never forgotten.
