Hashtags. A great way to get your content seen by a wider audience and increase engagement, or so it seems.
Yes, it is true that done correctly, you'll get that boost to your content, but done incorrectly and you'll feel the mistake come back to haunt you.
If Instagram deems your chosen hashtags not relevant to your content, you'll be considered irrelevant and get shunned by the algorithm, descending into the deep, dark abyss where all dead social media goes to rest (we hear 2015 Logan Paul is in there)
Moral of the story? Don't use hashtags, if you absolutely have to, make them relevant.

Your target audience are real life humans, this means they have everything real life humans have: age, gender, spending habits etc.

Content is king (that goes for any social platform) and if your content isn't engaging, not only will the social platform's algorithm drop you, but your customers won't be engaged either. 👎

The bottom line is that no one likes be told to buy something, so don't tell them, create engaging content to show them why they should. Done successfully, the algorithm will pick you up and automatically enhance it's reach among more people.

Customers won't always listen to the positives of being with you, so instead, tell them the negatives of being without you. You're message is there to influence people to join you, not directly tell them how great you are.

Ask yourself, why should people care about you how great you are? And if they don't care, what would they miss out on?
