Your attention please. Gus, now Bertie has news. He’s pawficially adopted and is a celebrity at his local cafe 🥳🥳

Bertie came to us with his pal Roo after their owner was struggling to provide care for all of their dogs. They also had oldies with expensive vet bills and realised taking on two more dogs wasn’t very feasible.

They went to stay with our Daycare 4 Dogs family, and after going on foster with Hannah from Daycare Aly offered him a home trial and he got to work stealing her heart.

He’s very partial to a puppucino and already has his pawty hat for an adoption celebration at his local…

We heard about a dog who has everything going for him, except a smile and wagging tail. And for this reason no one ever asks about him 🥲

Darius couldn’t walk when he was pulled from a horrendous kill shelter. Despite that he has blossomed into a beautiful balanced boy.

He gets on with other dogs, is good with people, can walk on lead and be stroked. He even gets on with cats…

No one chooses him as he’s not a designer breed and he doesn’t present himself as a giddy, happy dog.

Sounds like a job for the welcoming committee don’t you think? 🐕🐕🐕

Hi everyone, it’s Ali here. I have just filmed Charlie boy arriving with Em and it made me want to weep 😭😭

He arrived so scared but within minutes we saw a different boy. He had a good sniff of the garden and then gingerly walked over to Em. To see him respond to her kindness, and go on to eat treats with us was beautiful beyond words.

But what got me most was to hear Em say, “to think I said no to this boy at first, but then I couldn’t stop thinking about him”.

Thank you for being you Em. And thank you to everyone who supports us. My heart could literally burst today 🐶🥰

Today’s emergency intake is a broken boy, Charlie boy 🐶🥹

“He is absolutely terrified of interaction and handling but no aggression at all has been shown, he just freezes and will not stand up or walk. He had to be walked into the kennels in a towel sling with 2 people.

This poor boy's flea infestation was so bad his skin was bleeding and fleas were all over him.
He eats treats and food and walks around his kennel when the door is closed and no one is near. He also has eyesight issues and doesn't seem to be able to see very well, he can hear.”

Charlie came in to the council pound with another female dog who was typed as a banned breed by a DLO and ordered to be euthanised. You can only imagine how this affected the staff who legally must comply, and Charlie boy lost all that made him feel safe in this world 💔

We are full, but as always the clock was ticking for him. We will make it work and we will pour our hearts into building this boy back up. Papa Cluse is at the ready to be his friend 🐶🐶

Today an incredibly special girl is making her way to us. Meet Mary, our new handican 🐶😍

Mary was hit by a vehicle in North Macedonia. The vets got her walking again but the accident has left her wobbly and incontinent.

She has been living at the vets for over 3 years, the sweetest girl, but due to her incontinence she hasn’t had any offers.

Thank you to our Golden Paw Club members whose £5 a month is enabling us to take on a dog who will need extra care and who may be with us for a long time.

Everyone in rescue is devastated by the news of a terrible traffic accident yesterday, which stole the life of two wonderful volunteer ladies, and 9 of the 10 precious dogs they were transporting from Turkey 💔

The dogs were relocating to their forever happy ending in France with Claire from Homeward Bound, their rescuer who had been caring for them for years. These selfless ladies tragically lost their lives taking them to their safe place.

We send all our love to their family and friends, and to Claire who has been robbed of so many of the beautiful dogs she dedicated her life to. We can only imagine the pain everyone is going through.
