And just like that, Welcome Week has come to an end! 🥹

We’re leaving this week with full hearts, grateful for every person we met and every opportunity we had to share the love of Jesus across Manchester.

A HUGE thank you to every single volunteer who showed up, served, prayed, preached the Gospel, invited people, handed out gifts, sweets and biscuits, and most importantly, gave their time to stop, listen and have genuine conversations with people.

Every conversation mattered. Every seed planted mattered. Every act of kindness mattered.

The week may be over, but the mission continues. We’ll keep shining our light, loving people and making Jesus known.

Manchester, thank you for an incredible week. Welcome home. 🏡

The Manchester rain definitely showed up today 😂 but that didn’t stop us! We still got to meet so many beautiful new faces and welcome even more people to Manchester — and to the JCM family.

DAY TWO!!

On Sunday, we were reminded that we are the light of the world and this week, we get to live it out.

Today was about taking that light beyond the four walls of church: meeting new faces, sharing joy, having meaningful conversations and simply showing the love of Christ right where we are.

Every smile, every conversation, every connection was another opportunity to let our light shine. 🤍

Day Two of Welcome Week, done! And we’re grateful for everyone we got to meet along the way.

The light doesn’t just shine on Sundays. 💡

Yesterday was a reminder that we weren’t called to simply exist in the world we were called to be LIGHT in it.

As we continue in our month of Increased Fruitfulness, we were reminded from Matthew 5:14–16 that fruitfulness isn’t only about what we receive or achieve, but about the impact our lives have on the people around us.

Light destroys darkness.
Light brings illumination and revelation.
Light brings warmth, energy and hope.
Light brings joy, victory and restoration.

And that means wherever God has placed us, we are called to be a hope factor.

Our light should point people beyond ourselves, not simply to a church building, but ultimately to Jesus and into the Kingdom of God. As John 15:16 reminds us, we have been chosen to go and bear fruit, fruit that lasts.

So this week, the question is: where can you shine your light?

May our lives carry hope where there is fear, joy where there is heaviness, and the light of Christ wherever there is darkness.
