Lettuce maki (retasu maki in Japanese) is an original type of sushi from Miyazaki, a town in the southern Japan’s Kyushu Island. It is made by rolling together prawn (or tuna, or vegetable), lettuce and mayonnaise in rice and nori seaweed. Prawn and tuna are cooked, this type of sushi does not have raw fish.
