One of Manchester’s most underrated brunch spots… ✨
I’ve loved for years, so it was about time I tried their newer NQ location. Mediterranean-inspired dishes, lovely drinks, and plenty of reasons to linger over a second chai latte.
ON THE TABLE
* Mediterranean: toasted sourdough topped with slow-cooked aubergine chutney, whipped basil hummus and olives, finished with a balsamic dressing
* Baklava French Toast: a highlight!! Thick-cut French toast topped with creamy pistachio, crushed pecans, crisp filo pastry, a drizzle of honey and vanilla ice cream.
* Brioche Benedict: toasted brioche layered with peppered pastrami and soft poached eggs, finished with a silky hollandaise and chives

The dessert I can’t stop thinking about… 🥐✨
are serving upgraded versions of all the classics. Sundaes, ice cream cones, cookie dough, and bubble wraps all piled high with toppings.
The star of the show is their stuffed Magnum croissants. I tried the pistachio version. A freshly baked croissant filled with pistachio crème and chopped Magnum, topped with white chocolate sauce, powdered sugar, crushed pistachios, and a swirl of fresh whipped cream. The Biscoff and Kinder versions sound incred too.

has a brand NEW concept in time for summer 🌮✨
NQ, meet Cantina. A Mexican-inspired menu featuring tacos, loaded fries, burgers, homemade salsas, and NINE different margaritas. 🫨
ON THE TABLE
* Hand-cut tortilla chips with avocado crema, a nice change to traditional guac
* Fried tequila chicken taco: crispy chicken piled into a soft tortilla with salsa verde, pickled onions and coriander
* Slow-cooked beef taco loaded with avocado crema, queso fresco and pico de gallo in a crunchy shell
* Smashed Texas toast: my fave!! Double smash patties, slow-cooked onions, chipotle mayo, thick-cut pickles and melted American cheese sandwiched between buttery toasted bread.
* Croquettes: the cheese pull was outrageous, paired with a creamy jalapeño dip that I could eat by the spoonful
Find me here all summer bby 🌞

.uk is easily one of Manchester’s most photographed restaurants, but thankfully it’s not just style over substance 🍝🫶
We started with antipasti, and the highlights were definitely the warm focaccia, soft and airy in the middle with crisp edges, and the pulled pork crocchette stuffed with slow-cooked pork and served with anchovy mayo.
I loved the fresh truffle pasta too. Finished tableside in a pecorino wheel, it’s creamy and indulgent without feeling overly heavy. The lemon crab pasta was less of a standout. The pasta itself was beautifully cooked, but there just wasn’t enough crab to carry the dish flavour-wise.
Desserts stole the show. Proper classic tiramisu, silky vanilla rice pudding with salted caramel and roasted peanuts, and the lemon pie which genuinely deserves the hype. Light sponge, sharp citrus, sweet cream.
Perfect for birthdays, date nights, or honestly just cocktails and dessert alone 🍋✨

Manchester weather 🤝 warm hearty bowls at
I’ve loved the vendor for years, so I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try their standalone spot on Tib Street, right next to another fave, .
Rich broths, chewy noodles, crispy toppings, and exactly the kind of food you want when Manchester is doing its grey rainy thing again. Will 100% be back x

I already love for their brilliant tapas and cocktails, but these limited-edition dishes might be my favourites yet… 🌮🔥
To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, they’ve transformed the menu this month, bringing bold Latin American flavours to Whitefield.
ON THE TABLE
* Fried chips & dips with smoky salsa morita, fresh pico de gallo and a sharp tomatillo salsa verde
* Pollo asado: a highlight!! Chicken marinated for 24 hours with citrus and spices, paired with pickled watermelon, creamy aji verde and a crunchy pumpkin seed salsa macha
* Elotes: everything you want from street corn. Smoky, messy, creamy - completely addictive
* Baja fish tacos: loaded with crisp beer battered cod, cooling avocado crema and pickled cabbage
* Lamb barbacoa tacos: rich and deeply flavoured from 13 hours of slow cooking. The little pot of cooking liquor for dipping absolutely made the dish
Desserts kept the tropical theme going with a caramelised pineapple & coconut eton mess I was utterly obsessed with, and chilli chocolate truffles for a final kick of Latin heat. 🌶️❤️

.uk has officially landed in MCR ❤️
The Copenhagen-born restaurant has opened in Spinningfields, bringing together Japanese cooking and Scandi interiors.
The menu is built for sharing. We ordered a mix of sushi, grilled sticks and small plates including crab croquettes, tuna tostadas, tempura shrimp, seared wagyu and their buttery miso-marinated black cod.
My standout was the Temaki Setto, a DIY maki bite. Crisp sheets of nori wrapped around warm sushi rice and filled with wagyu tartare, lobster and yuzu, avocado, trout roe and crunchy kataifi. One of those dishes you immediately want again.
Perfect for date nights, post-work dinners, and group catch-ups that turn into a few more cocktails than planned. Honestly, even people who “don’t like sushi” would eat very well here.

have gone all in on Christmas 🥧✨
Their Bottomless Festive Feast comes with a proper stacked pie, dessert, and 2 hours of bottomless festive cocktails, prosecco and pints.
We tried The Cracker (tender turkey and ham with sweet-sharp cranberry, roasted parsnips and a hint of sherry), and the veggie option packed with earthy parsnip, buttery chestnut, cheddar, and leek. Both plates come piled with crispy parsnip shards, a stuffing-ball skewer, carrot & swede mash, and lashings of rich gravy.
The perfect night with your pals, get booked in!!
