What does an AED actually do? ❤️⚡

Nearly half of people worry they'd accidentally electrocute someone by using an AED. The truth is, you can't.

An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) analyses the person's heart rhythm and will only deliver a shock if it's needed. If a shock isn't required, it simply won't allow one to be given.

The AED talks you through every step with clear voice prompts, making it simple for anyone to use—even if you've never had first aid training.

In a cardiac arrest, using an AED alongside CPR can significantly increase a person's chance of survival.

Are you a qualified First Aid trainer looking for freelance work?

We are currently recruiting freelance trainers to deliver accredited First Aid courses across the Yorkshire area. Alongside our accredited training, you’ll also help deliver our personalised free sessions for local communities and schools.

This is a flexible opportunity for passionate, engaging trainers who want to make a real difference while working independently.

Applicants must hold:
• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service
• A full driving licence and access to their own vehicle for work purposes

Ideally, candidates will also have their own training equipment.
