Have you noticed the lack of commemorative statues and plaques dedicated to women in Manchester? 🤔
So have we! That’s why we’re raising funds for Strong Women of Victorian Manchester, a digital storytelling project that will fictionalise the lives of 5 historical women.
It’s through this project that we hope to raise awareness of the strong women who came before us, with a focus on working-class, LGBTQ and BAME histories!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Kickstarter, The Strong Women of Victorian Manchester, a digital storytelling project.
This immersive experience will explore the narratives of 5 historical women as their lives meet and intertwine.
We have a host of exciting pledge opportunities, ranging from augmented reality postcards and supporter credits, to bespoke animations and feedback sessions. We’re even offering the chance to be included in the story itself!
