Making Miracles was founded in 2014 after Kelly Wells experienced a traumatic high risk pregnancy and the near loss of life of her daughter. Kelly searched for organisations to help her but instead found herself on chat rooms realising she was not alone in the feelings of isolation and grief. Grief might just look different for dads.
Some throw themselves into work. Some stay busy looking after everyone else. Some carry their pain quietly, believing they need to be strong. But beneath the surface, they are grieving too.
They mourn the hopes, dreams and future they imagined with their child. They carry the loss in their own way, often with little recognition or support.
To every dad navigating baby loss: your grief is valid and your baby will always matter. You don’t have to carry it alone.

No experience is necessary, just willingness to help and be part of a close knit and friendly team.

“I was at the lowest point ever in my life, I had no idea how to move forward but the care and compassion from Making Miracles meant gradually the stuffing went back into me. I found I could breathe again and learnt to navigate the new path that I am on.
I still have bad days, where it takes everything to get out of bed, but now there are far more good days than bad.
Making Miracles support has given me the strength to cope, which I am very grateful for.”
