Shock First Aid Training

Today we are at our venue Infinity Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teaching Emergency first aid at work. This covers essential skills including CPR, choking, bleeding, burns and more. If you’re looking for some first aid training make sure to give us a message.

Myth: Cough CPR

If you were on the internet back in 1999 you may have received an email. One which introduced you to a new method of CPR. A method which will help you “survive a heart attack when alone”.

If you think this is too good to be true, it’s because it is, yet this myth continues to do the rounds on social media today.

The majority of people having a heart attack will not suffer a cardiac arrest, and by attempting ‘cough CPR’ you could make your condition worse. If you are conscious enough to cough… you’re not in cardiac arrest!

So don’t waste time coughing, call 999 and get the aspirin.

New dates for another baby/child first aid awareness course are coming soon! Plus would anyone be interested in first aid for their children to learn? if we have enough interest we may hold a first aid course aimed at children. They are never too young to learn life saving skills!!

Our instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and all have an emergency service background.

This year we will, once again, be running our popular baby and child first aid courses. These are short 2 hour first aid awareness courses aimed at parents, grandparents, carers, babysitters, anyone that looks after children.

It covers those life threatening situations we never want to be in but will give you the knowledge and skills to deal with them if they occur. Content includes - CPR, choking, burns, bleeding, asthma and anaphylaxis.

Courses cost £20 per person and will be held in Maidstone.

If you have a group of 4 or more that would like to do a course these can also be held in the comfort of your own home.
