A magnificent piece of draped fused glass in our Sicilian Airbnb.
It’s very intricate and heavy!

Lovely to welcome Pam and Jilly to the studio yesterday. They both made small panels representing flowers in different ways..

Some new panels - may be attached to the wall with stand-offs or displayed on a stand as shown.
These started off as a test piece for a larger project, which I now know would not be feasible using this technique, so it was good to use the glass to produce some ‘arty’ pieces!

It’s been good to be back in my glass studio, and my first tasks are usually to do with trying to rescue pieces that have gone wrong.
A swirly mesh melt split in two in the kiln, so I spent a fair amount of time trying to repair it.
Back in the kiln and it splits in a different place!

Playing with some ideas for mini workshops coming up in the next few weeks… Little fishy hangers would be quite quick and easy for a first project.

Back in my studio recently after winter and surgery recovery.
First photo is the set up for a strip construction - in the kiln now, ready for firing. First attempt making a rectangular one using an adjustable stainless steel frame.
Second photo - a circular one made using the same method.

Karina came for a workshop yesterday. She quickly learnt how to cut the glass, chose her colour palette and created a small hanging panel.
