Merry Christmas from the Kent Scouts Inclusion Team!
05/12/2025
You may have seen, and potentially been affected by, the recent announcement from Girlguiding.
Kent Scouts and Scouts nationally, is open to all and our movement welcomes both young people and adults from a wide range of backgrounds and walks of life.
This inclusivity includes those that identify as trans, gender questioning, non-binary and all other members of the LGBTQ+ community.
We, as a community, remain committed to supporting all our members with care, dignity and respect.
N.B. We have sadly had to turn of commenting on this post, which was designed to show solidarity with those that have or might be affected. However, a number of comments were becoming personal and hurtful and in no way in the Scouting spirit. Please remember to be respectful of your fellow Scouts and Guides, no matter their background.
What have the Kent Scouts Inclusion Team been up to this year? Well, we have been to KIJ, The Explorers Big Weekend and Howletts with the Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs! Did you go to any of these events this year too?
