I have had the pleasure of working on these lovely old buildings in the Jordan gate conservation area in Macclesfield. Dated as far back as 1450 so fair to say the timber work has seen better days so plenty of chiselling out old timber and replacing with solid red hardwood, sapele & western red cedar .

A bit of a run on living room furniture at the moment, here’s three recent projects making the most of space either side of the fire place .

Back up at the in longnor this week and some good progress has been made😃most the woodwork for the bar is in place and ready for the granite and appliances then the beer taps can be fixed in place 🍺 still plenty to get on with next week .

I started work on the stunning grade 2 listed former longnor town hall this week😃soon to be moorland cafe/bar/ art space.iv been handed job of making the bar area and general renovation to get it up and running soon. I’v been using as much reclaimed materials from the building as possible so it keeps the feel of the building.

Mobile Guinness workshop today down in Smethwick,anything to keep the tools and materials dry,it’s been a washout today canal side but I managed to get materials cut for built in cupboards,and I found a local taking shelter in the back of my van😺

Nice little trip over to Northwich dry dock last week for some emergency porthole removal, the boats having a full new paint job so my job was to get them out in one piece 🥴 I’m going to give them a rub down and varnish before they go back in at the end of the month .

This time last year I converted this lovely old caravan into and I finally got to see it in it’s full glory last night at festival in aid of .

Good weeks graft this week I managed to cut the floor and ceiling out of this loft and handmade this stair winder from scratch on site . Ready for partition walls next week 😊

3rd day on this loft conversion and a good bit of progress today. I managed to cut down the old staircase to suite new layout and I’ll be making a 3 step winder at the top allowing easy access into the loft .

I forgot how much fun loft conversions are 🙄I’v not worked on one for a couple of years,80 years of dust in my face 😷nice big hole in the ceiling now though ready for stairs installation.
