New location, plus a new workshop is underway!
Hello All,
A very Happy Easter to you and I hope you’re all keeping safe and well?
I’ll be returning full time to my day job very shortly, so I’ve taken the decision to scale down my services to garment alterations only. The past year has been an absolute pleasure in being able to revisit my creative side again!
Thank you to everyone for your support, please keep in touch if you have any alterations you’d like too. T x

Who remembers Jacko Monkey? The Thread Smith meets Repair Shop. This cheeky monkey was possibly resident to a dust cart or cast aside for a few decades. Now he’s got a new lease of life and is ready to go back home.

Hello! It’s been a while eh? Are you safe and well? I hope so.
After a little break I’ve got back to the machine, a nice new shiny new one at that. A fabulous jacket alternation for a very dapper chap and a t-shirt blanket full of treasured memories for a fabulous lady who champions some amazing causes.
More stuff coming up very soon, including zoom!
Hello folks, I hope you’re all safe and well? Couple of updates for you:
My new industrial machine will hopefully arrive by 18th December. Delayed due to Covid which is understandable. I’ll aim to clear all outstanding heavyweight or decorative orders by new year.
New needles should arrive today so any jackets, lightweight orders and memory bear requests can commence again 💗
If you’ve made and enquiry for a bear please can you contact me before dropping off any materials and feel free to ask any question about quarantine of your material/items. This is usually 72 hours before I can start pattern cutting. Items must be bagged please.
The order book is now full until the new year 😊
Thank you to everyone for your kind support and custom. I’ve very much valued this and you’ve kept me going through some tough times.
Have a fabulous festive break, stay safe and keep well x

Memory bear order finished today, complete with his own hat and scarf for the cold snap.
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything so I hope you’re all safe and well.
Due to the recent lockdown restrictions, it is with deep regret that anyone with outstanding alteration orders will not be able to visit my workshop until 2nd December. Other outstanding orders are available for doorstep collection and usual updates will be given on progress.
I also have an industrial machine being delivered end of November, so if you’re a customer with an outstanding order and providing you’re happy to wait then I’ll be taking a little break until then.
Stay safe, take good care and don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions.

Having read that certain supermarkets and clothing retailers have been given instruction that clothes are ‘non essential items ’ I would like to offer the following if further lockdown restrictions apply:
If you find you cannot purchase warm clothing for a child that they need or you need to buy appropriate clothing for an interview if you’ve recently been made redundant and have something in your wardrobe that can be easily altered in both cases, I will do this for free.

It’s taken a long time, but finally near to finishing this on trend beaut. Georgette crepe fabric was a real challenge, especially the zip but it’s been worth it for the experience.
How is everyone? I hope you’re all safe and well?
I’ve taken a break of late which is why I’ve been much quieter than usual. I’m slowly working my way though outstanding orders.
Due to a change in my personal circumstances, any new orders will be on a request or appointment basis for alterations on the run up to the Christmas. The order book is pretty full until the end of November which is a lovely probelm to have!
You are more than welcome to contact me directly if you are looking for something new for smaller soft furnishing projects and similar items providing you are in no rush and would consider December/January for completion.
