Seton Castle rests on the grounds of the Palace of Seton, a favourite retreat of Mary Queen of Scots which was demolished in 1789. The Castle was designed by Robert Adam circa. 1790 using the stones from the palace. The house is now used as a family home and does not allow visitors.
