Dancing With Strangers is back on https://threadsradio.com with a Visitor Records special. Two hours of tracks from the seminal label, put together by host Agile Kind. Visitor records shouldn't need any introduction, and if it does, tune in to be introduced!

Even though I bought my first house record in 1987, I didn't get decks until 1999. I did what most DJs do when they first start learning to play: I played the records my favourite DJ played.

I vividly remember the day in 2000 when I walked out of Tag Records in Piccadilly knowing that what was in my bag was what I decided I liked, not my favourite DJ. In that bag of records was "Sunday Visitor" by Fred Nasen: VISITOR 001.

So, Visitor's journey as a label started at the same time as my journey as a DJ. That release in particular really made a mark and I still cherish it to this day. After that I'd pretty much pick up everything on Visitor, especially if it had Fred Nasen's name on it.

Recently, Visitor have put all their releases on Bandcamp, which meant I didn't have to go hunting for all my vinyl (some of which is quite noisy now!). If you like what you hear, head to their bandcamp and get downloading. Enjoy!
