STARTING TODAY! ππ
Churches Count On Nature - Churches and communities across the UK will come together to celebrate and care for local wildlife. By exploring and recording the nature around our churchyards and green spaces, we can help protect biodiversity, connect people with the natural world and show the importance of caring for creation together.
The Great Big Green Week - More than a million people across the UK will come together to support their communities, protect nature and tackle climate change. By acting together, we can improve our neighbourhoods and show politicians and decision-makers that people everywhere want positive change.
Be part of these from the 6th - 14th June. Head to the websites to find out more.

Churches across the UK are uniting in an unprecedented call to action on climate and nature.
With a newly released powerful film presenting the latest evidence on the climate crisis, this is an opportunity for churches and faith spaces to gather people, spark honest conversations, and explore meaningful local action.
As faith communities, the call is clear: to care for creation, love our neighbours, and respond to the urgent needs of our time.
πHost a screening.
π£ Invite your community and local representatives.
π Be part of the response.

Why record wildlife at burial grounds? πͺ¦π±
"They're little gems of the countryside that we'd love to understand more about - the wildlife and biodiversity there."
Here's another video from Caring for God's Acre as we look to encourage more people to take part in Churches Count on Nature (CCoN), taking place between Saturday 6 June to Sunday 14 June this year!
Why record nature? πΏπͺ¦
Many churchyards have been protected green spaces for decades, sometimes even centuries, making them unexpected havens for wildlife. From wildflowers and grasses to birds, insects and fungi, these places are often full of life waiting to be noticed.
Thatβs why weβre sharing this video from Caring for God's Acre as we encourage more people to take part in the Churches Count on Nature (CCoN) π±
Every observation matters, even common species. By recording what you spot, you help build a bigger picture of how nature is changing over time and support the volunteers and organisations caring for these historic spaces.
One of the easiest ways to get involved is through iNaturalist π± Simply snap a photo, upload it, and contribute to a growing public database of wildlife records.
Join us in counting nature, discovering the biodiversity around us, and helping protect these special places for the future π
