Isuzu Grafter DPF Clean

We have done a few of these now, these are about the biggest vehicles we do DPF Cleans on, rated at upto 4 tonnes.

This truck works hard but doesn't do many longer trips. It has a button on the dash to force regenerations but that isn't working anymore.
We found a DPF Pressure Sensor error code, an oil in the pipe.
Surprisingly when we did the 2nd half of the clean, what came out of the exhaust was a lot better than expected. We successfully forced a regeneration too, so the owner is going to replace the DPF Pressure Sensor and keep the truck.

Called to Engine Carbon Clean a 2017 Mercedes A220d due to EGR Flow being low and causing problems.
As part of the EGR was easy to get to, we took a pipe off and what we saw was shocking. This car has only done 90,000 miles.
We manually cleaned the pipe before the carbon clean so the gases could flow more easily and clean more effectively.

Audi Q7 3.0 TDi DPF Clean.

Called by a regular garage customer to DPF Clean this 2014 145,000 miles car.
They have had it in to resolve cooling and injector issues and then found the DPF was too full to be able to regenerate.
The car completed a successful regeneration after our liquid chemical DPF Clean and has been handed back to the customer.

Volvo XC-60 Engine Carbon Clean
This 2017 car has covered 117,000 miles, and is having EGR problems.

Live data shows the EGR valve is moving as much as it's being asked to.
The DPF soot levels were very high so we forced a regeneration to get the content back down to manageable levels.
That in turn reduces the back pressure in the exhaust system and should help the EGR system operate more easily.

Mazda 6 Engine Carbon Clean.
This 2016 2.0 diesel has covered 116,000 miles.
The second owner has just bought it but immediately has seen EGR flow problems with it.
The DPF is in good order, and the EGR Cooler is working but the EGR Valve itself is not moving.
Even trying to open and close it with the diagnostic tool is having no effect.
The owner took out a comprehensive warranty so will get the EGR Valve replaced.

Range Rover Evoque DPF Clean

This 2017 car has only done 55,000 miles, and now really only does short trips.

The DPF Pressure Sensor was also giving an unbelievably low reading, so we advised the customer to get that changed.

A successful clean and regeneration drive were completed and the car handed back to the customer.

BMW 335d DPF Clean.

This 2011 car is in need of a clean to unblock the DPF. Diagnostics showed a DPF temperature sensor showing a minus reading, when it's about 18 degrees outside.
No other problems found.
A successful clean was carried out and the owner advised of the broken sensor.

Audi A3 1.4 petrol Engine Carbon Clean.

This 2015 80,000 miles old car came into a garage customer of ours with a bad misfire. A full service was done including plugs and coilpacks.
The misfire improved but remained on one cylinder.
We were called to do an Engine Carbon Clean. By the end of the clean no misfires were seen with the diagnostic tool, and th engine felt and sounded smoother too.

BMW 228i Engine Carbon Clean.

Called to work on this lovely BMW 2 Series Convertible.
The car is in great condition, and now out of warranty so the owner plans to do some modifications, but starts by making sure the engine is in the best condition possible with an Engine Carbon Clean.
The Engine Carbon Clean has got the engine running smoother and stopped the small amount of misfires we saw at the beginning on live data. Prevention is key with these direct injection petrol engines.

2018 Vauxhall Vivaro with recurring DPF problems despite spending over £6000 at the dealers in the last 2 years!
It's had a new DPF, multiple error code deletes and forced regenerations.
**Spoiler alert** -
Deleting Error Codes fixes nothing.
Forced Regenerations do not remove all of the soot.

So having been called to do an Engine Carbon Clean, and cast an eye over the vehicle we found a / the problem.
When a Vivaro (and others) has an oil degradation / Life Exceeded error message, it does not regenerate. Not even with new oil and filter in place. This code / message has to be removed with a diagnostic tool, and as far as we know it's only a Vauxhall tool that will do this.

No other issues found with this van, so the customer was advised to get the reset done and then be able to use the van as he wants and needs to.

An Engine Carbon Clean for this diesel MINI.
This 2009 Peugeot engined 1.6 diesel has done 165,000 miles now and the owner has noticed a drop in performance and economy.
No problems found during the clean with the live data monitoring, but the engine is running quieter and smoother now.
