An ancient but still relevant rant..!

6 years ago I was moved to articulate an occasional frustration at how far-too-many agencies pitch platforms to a client based solely on that agency's experience rather than what's best available for the project.

I suggest that (in this age of increasing prevalence of 3rd party plug and play solutions over a "platform-agnostic" (Jack Bremer's phrase) approach and bespoke custom dev) this rant feels more relevant than ever...
