TPR
Performer and arranger of the Melancholy Music from Final Fantasy/Zelda/Chrono albums.
My Final Fantasy XIV album, Eorzea by Moonlight, is nearing its final stages! I’ve tried to include tracks from all expansions from ARR onwards (not including the one just announced) like this one from Dawntrail, Windswept Echoes. The album features guest appearances from some of my favourite collaborators, but I decided to get the EWI out for this one!
Unlike most of my arrangements on this project, this is not a night theme - which I’m aware contradicts the title somewhat! However, especially in the newer expansions, many night themes are just piano solos, so a TPR cover wouldn’t be very interesting. So I have thrown a couple of daytime themes (and a couple of battle ones) in, too.

A wonderful evening with and our partners watching ’s wonderful Expedition 33 Painted Symphony. Glorious from start to finish!
Only a few tracks left to record for the 16-track FFXIV Eorzea By Moonlight album! This cover of the Limsa Lominsa night theme - A Sailor Never Sleeps - was actually recorded in April 2024, with the one and only guest starring. You may even remember I used it to trail the album back in October 2024.
It was the first track I worked on after thinking I had recovered from my ear troubles. Although it was fine for a bit, I got too confident and suffered a relapse in July after finishing the Johto album and had to take another few months off.
Nowadays I’m a lot better (apart from some mild-to-medium tinnitus that I’m just gonna have to get used to), so I re-recorded my part and put it on the upcoming project - which is coming soon! Probably mid-to-late May.

🪐✨Announcing Astral Odysseys! ✨🪐 My tribute to the Mario Galaxy and Odyssey games will be released towards the end of the year, but today is Mario Day so I thought I’d share now!
Plus .art’s beautiful illustration needed to be shared as soon as possible 😄
Gusty Garden, the track playing now, won’t be on the album (it’s on 2020’s To The Stars), but thanks to Nintendo Music the whole Galaxy, Galaxy 2, and Odyssey soundtracks are now licensable (rather than just the Sound Selection as before)
I really don’t keep up to date with new games or games news anymore – I just tend to try whatever comes on Game Pass tbh. But I heard there’s an Animal Crossing/Stardew/Viva Piñata-like Pokémon game out now, so thought I’d give it a go!
I only really get to play games an hour or two before going to sleep, and Pokopia seems perfect for that – I’m enjoying it so far, so here’s a little piano cover of some of the BOTWish ambient music from the first area.
And yeah Magikarp having a bit of a party in my veg patch back there.

My Final Fantasy VI tribute album was released 10 years ago today.
I had a great time recording it and a lovely time at the little launch party we had in London with the legends at Final Fantasy Union.
1: Album art and release date
2: My copy of the game – it didn’t come out in the UK until 2002
3: A young me and .art in London celebrating the album’s launch
It’s always an honour to work with on a project! This time for The Mushroomery, a faithful cover of Soken’s beautiful interpretation of Uematsu’s iconic Matoya’s Cave theme from Final Fantasy I. One of my favourite VGM themes of all time.
Full version is on my YouTube channel.
Having a great time slowly working through some covers of the wonderful Final Fantasy XIV soundtrack for my Eorzea by Moonlight album! Here’s a clip of me playing along to Crimson Sunset, featuring the wonderful 🌅
Starling was a massive help during the album planning phase in early 2025, so I’m thrilled she was free to help me out now I’m recording!
Looking at 16 tracks for the album – now pretty much the default for me post-ear collapse - featuring tracks from ARR and all expansions. Looking forward to sharing more soon!

The tracklist has been sorted and recording has begun: Eorzea By Moonlight, my piano-based tribute to the wonderful Final Fantasy XIV soundtrack, will be coming soon! Probably late spring.
As the title suggests, the album features mostly night-time town themes; however, there are a few non-night and non-town covers thrown in there as well.
Huge thanks to the multi-talented for the album artwork! And thanks to everyone who suggested tracks when I asked way back in October 2024 (that’s how long projects are taking these days 😅).
You can give The Nautilus Knoweth a listen in full on my Note Charts YouTube channel, or check out the reel I posted a couple of weeks back.
I’m looking forward to sharing more in the coming days!

I have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have bought, downloaded, streamed or otherwise engaged with the new Breath of the Wild album. It’s been the most popular new release of mine by some distance.
So I thought I’d take the opportunity to thank those who have checked it out - especially the legends who have bought it from Bandcamp 🙌
Also, for the next few hours it’s Bandcamp Friday, where they waive their cut and the majority of revenue goes direct to the artist. The license fees to sell a cover album like this are really not cheap so I rarely make money from Bandcamp, but the extra support is always welcome! You can find my Bandcamp page at tprpiano.com or check out my linktree in bio
Looking forward to sharing more from the FFXIV album soon!
Back home after a quick break and an incredibly successful release of the BOTW album (100,000 streams in the first week! 🤯), and back to work on the next project: Eorzea by Moonlight, a Final Fantasy XIV cover album.
Here’s a quick clip playing along to The Nautilus Knoweth, the Old Sharlayan night theme from Endwalker.
More to come soon!
