Oooh hello! The 2025 Bloodstock Festival set by Iranian-British middle eastern prog metallers Lowen is now on Bloodstock TV!

The audio could be better if I'm honest, but it's still bloody brilliant. I adore this band, and the past and current members that I've met are absolutely lovely - so I can't wait to see them at Download where I'll be repping their backpatch on my battlevest!

Uprising IX was a blast! Were you there? Amazing bands, but as we lean more to the heavy and prog than the hardcore/black/death metal these were our standout performers of the day:

Prymå, Fractions, CROWLEY UK, Ward XVI, GURT, HAWXX

These were taken in Monochrome, so the lack of colour is just the way it is. :D

Some unfortunate PA (audio) issues from the house during the first two thirds of the set didn’t prevent CROWLEY UK from being absolutely mesmerising at Uprising.

Some of my favourite photos of the day so far by a long shot. I won’t manage to get through most of the photos properly for a few days but I rather like these! (Hasty edits whilst we hide away from the extreme metal acts as that’s just not quite our bag!)

The incredible PSYCHONAUT are perhaps my favourite progressive metal band of recent years, an absolutely mindblowing performance at Exchange, Bristol. So much merch was purchased... 😅

The triumphant Cobra The Impaler at Exchange Bristol. These guys never cease to rock the entire house. A phenomenal band. Catch them at London Metalfest in September with us!!!

Finally home long enough to update the Preyrs (Pelagic Records) gallery with the best of our colour photos from their recent show at HOLY DIVER.

That venue was breathtaking and it was such an incredible performance. If you love bluesy raucus rock with absolutely on point musicanship, you really must make the effort to catch them as soon as you get the chance.
