My Nani passed away this morning… My Nani, who would sing Hindi songs with me as a little girl… my Nani, who I would walk with to the corner store in Suriname, who I would pray with (Hawan) throughout my childhood… who would tell me off for wearing belly tops when I was a teenager and coming home waaay too late…. My Nani flew all the way to London to perform my Hindu wedding ceremony (she was a Hindu priest)… I’ve never shared pics publicly of my wedding day… here she is (second picture) ready to bless us with her beautiful words and songs… she loved seeing me in my sari on my special day…. Rest in Peace Nani! 🌷

It’s just my birthday… no big deal… I’m happy, I’m healthy, 2026 is 🔥. My bestie got me PJs but she didn’t officially give it to my yet, I just tried it on for size and put it back in the hiding spot…. Tomorrow I’ll act surprised! 😆 I love her, I love me…. Let’s go! 😎

What an epic 2 days this was! We saw the mighty Victoria Falls from both the Zambian and the Zimbabwean side! We went on safari for land and river! Ate amazing food stayed in the most incredible hotel… I cried when we arrived it was the most beautiful ever! And memories were made.

I asked Rosie what her favourite trip of the year was and she said Zambia! And I realised that I never posted our family pictures…. Here are some of the lovely memories we made… more coming in my next post

It was a wonderful evening that I was very thankful to be apart of and go meet many of the inspiring guests and students who will pave the way in years to come.

I’ve been dreaming of having a 15 year old daughter, since I was 15 years old! It was then that I vowed to make my own best friend! And that is exactly who you are, my darling, the best friend I felt audacious to pray for… you are all my dreams come true and so much more! You bring joy to everything, I love how you take care of me like I’m the clumsiest little rag doll… (Even though, of course, I’m tough as nails! 😅) you are kind, wise, fun, funny, adventurous, brave, beautiful inside and out… couldn’t be any prouder! Love you always and forever and ever! Happy Birthday!
