BBOV-Africa Joins YALI Network Akwa Ibom to Mark International Day of Peace
Bring Back Our Values Africa (BBOV-Africa) on Saturday, 20th of September 2025 joined the YALI Network Akwa Ibom State Hub and other partner organisations to mark the advance celebration of International Day of Peace 2025, the first event of its kind in Akwa Ibom State.
The event, themed “Akwa Ibom Fitness Walk for Peace 25”, featured a vibrant procession from Ibom Hall to the Main Bowl of Ibom Plaza. With colourful placards, inspiring chants, and energetic music, the walk engaged residents of Uyo on the importance of peace, harmony, and collective responsibility.
In honour of World CleanUp Day, the event also spotlighted environmental stewardship. It was declared the first waste-free outing in Uyo by Plasticultured Community, reinforcing the connection between peaceful coexistence and a clean, sustainable environment.
By this collaboration, BBOV-Africa reaffirmed its three-fold commitment to, restoring African core values, empowering leaders and helping communities as none of these aforementioned can be achieved without collective efforts towards attaining or maintaing peace among ourselves.
The event’s success was made possible through the collaboration of our very own self and other like-minded, forward-thinking organisations in the State, including Onofiok Luke Foundation, Activista, Plasticultured, Uyo Toastmasters Club, ATYCares Initiative, and several others.
At BBOV-Africa, we remain committed to partnerships that promote peace, preserve values, and empower communities for sustainable impact.

With climate impacts accelerating across Nigeria, adaptation is no longer optional—it is urgent. This requires resources that are scaled up, transparent, and people-centred.
Too often, climate finance stops at government offices instead of reaching frontline communities. Women, youth, and vulnerable groups must be part of decisions on how these funds are allocated and spent.
We call on governments at all levels to:
- Scale up climate finance delivery with clear allocations for adaptation and resilience.
- Establish transparent mechanisms to ensure funds reach local communities.
- Guarantee youth and vulnerable groups are meaningfully represented in all climate finance planning and decision-making spaces.
Climate justice means ensuring that resources reach those who bear the greatest burden of the crisis and empowering them to shape the solutions.
Join us this Global Week of Climate Action as we amplify youth voices and call on leaders to make climate action people-centred.
16/09/2025
From the 15th – 20th September 2025, the Youth-led organizations is joining voices across the world to mark the Global Climate Week of Action, a week dedicated to moving beyond promises into bold, measurable climate action.
This is not just another awareness week. It is a call to act, not just talk. Young people, communities, and movements everywhere are rising together to demand:
✅ Transparent and inclusive climate policies.
✅ Measurable commitments with clear timelines.
✅ Climate justice and equity for those most affected.
✅ Real solutions that secure our shared future
This Change starts now, not later.
This week, we will amplify youth voices, push for accountability, and highlight actions that protect people and the planet.
Join us. Speak up. Act now. Together, let’s turn words into action and ensure a future that works for all.

STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE PEOPLE OF BENUE STATE
We at Bring Back Our Valued Africa Foundation extend our deepest condolences to the grieving families and communities in Benue State who have lost loved ones in the ongoing attacks.
We stand in solidarity with every victim of this senseless violence and express our profound sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives.
The persistent killings in Benue State are not only heartbreaking but also a gross violation of the fundamental human right to life and security. No society should be subjected to such cruelty, fear, and displacement.
We call on the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Benue State Government, and all relevant security agencies to take immediate and decisive action. It is the constitutional duty of the state to protect the lives and properties of all citizens without exception. Silence and inaction only embolden those who perpetrate violence.
We urge the authorities to:
..Strengthen security presence and response in vulnerable communities.
..Conduct transparent investigations to bring perpetrators to justice.
..Provide adequate humanitarian support to displaced and bereaved families.
..Engage in sustained dialogue and long-term strategies for peacebuilding.
Let it be known that every Nigerian life matters, and justice must prevail. We also call on civil society, religious leaders, and the international community to amplify this call and support efforts to end the violence.
We say: STOP the killings in Benue State. Say NO to genocide.
