Thank you to the for this honour. To be recognised among such a high calibre of performances this year and alongside these brilliant actresses, is truly humbling.

Prisoner 951 was a genuine collective effort. An exceptional cast and crew, all deeply committed to telling Nazanin and Richard’s story with care and integrity. It’s a story that carries real weight, and one we all felt a deep responsibility towards.

On behalf of all of us: this is for you, Nazanin, Richard, and Gabriella.

And above all, your vision, sensitivity, and leadership guided us every step of the way and held everything together. It was a privilege to be led by you.

My thoughts are also with the people of Iran, who are going through unimaginable hardship right now.
