Hopping on the 2016 trend. Not sure how it started, but DANG was it fun to look back through photos!🤩

What a year that was. An incredible one!

I was living in LA.
I launched my first book ā€œThe 5-Day Real Food Detoxā€ and bunch of TV appearances. (And fell in love with doing live television)

I was featured in a bunch of magazines, getting to share the power of food & my motto of: MAKE HEALTH SEXY.

I posted the typical ā€œgirl looking away from cameraā€ health shots. Did lots of yoga & got to teach a class on the helipad of the Four Seasons for Global Wellness day (on my bday no less)!

I did my vegan chef training in Thailand (random I know) after my book media was done. And I did a hair choppy chopāœ‚ļø

It was a year where so many of my dreams came to reality.

I attended the Golden Globes viewing party, went to some amazing celeb events - meeting women I’ve looked up to.

All in all, a pretty damn good year!

And now with a renewed perspective of everything that can happen in just one year… I’m ready to make 2026 as good, if not better!

Some BTS of the last month or so. It’s been wild....
There’s been so many endings and new beginnings. I said goodbye to the place I lived, people I met, and carry with me memories of Marylebone. At the same time, I welcomed a new area (officially a Chelsea gal - who would have thought!) and a place I get to call HOME.Ā
I brought my podcast, recording from an armchairĀ and gosh it’s so fun. I nearly said goodbye to London after all the stress of trying to find a place - there’s a brand new episode on this, out now!Ā
We said our farewells to this round of UTP, one of my favorite ones so far! I’ve welcomed new people into my life while equally letting go of others. I did something totally different for NYE which was the best way to end 2025 and bring in 2026!
During the hardest moments, I’ve focused on moments of joy. Whether it was the happiness of putting on an outfitĀ that had been in storage for 7+ months, to daily walks, making myself as sparkly as possible.
I share this all as a reminder that you can have both the good with the bad. Great times while you’re going through tough ones. We can say goodbye and hello at the same.

A little Mexico reset. I spent the last week letting my nervous system drop out of survival mode. Most people think burnout is mental. It’s not. It’s biological.

It’s what happens when your system spends too long in high-alert mode without recovery. This trip was my recovery.

šŸ‘‰šŸ¼The science is wild: even looking at natural blue spaces activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowers heart rate, and helps regulate stress hormones.

šŸ‘‰šŸ¼The world is changing faster than our nervous system can handle (then add on rising prices, economic and political discord...). Because of this, your brain is activated into fight or flight more often than not.

It’s not always practical to just jump on a plane, so here are real-life, backed-by-science ways to help reset your nervous system & bring you OUT of fight or flight:

✨Start your morning with vanilla incense. The scent of vanilla has been shown to lower startle reflex, reduce anxiety, and decrease blood pressure in as little as a few minutes because scent goes straight to the limbic system, the emotional center of the brain.

✨If you feel overwhelmed, do a few rounds of inhaling for 4, holding for 4, and exhaling for 6. Extending your exhale activates the vagus nerve, which signals safety to the body and can lower cortisol and heart rate almost immediately.

✨Put a jungle or beach screensaver on your TV or laptop. Studies show that even viewing nature scenes, especially green and blue tones, reduces amygdala activity, calms the stress response, and boosts feelings of relaxation by up to 30%. Nature sounds enhance this effect by lowering sympathetic nervous system activity.

āœ… SAVE THIS POST āœ… these tips work (but only if you do them)

PS - what’s your fav pic?! I can’t decide!!!

Just a casual trip to one of the Blue Zones🤩 aka — Okinawa.

These zones are known for being the healthiest areas in the world with least amount of disease, highest concentration of centenarians (over 100).

Ive been fascinated with these zones since I first learned about them. Having gone to Sardinia & now Okinawa I can see certain similarities & of course differences.

Health is truly so much more than just the food we eat, it’s the sun, how much movement you get, your community & happiness. That’s what boosts Okinawa to the top spot.

I had a few ppl ask me my thoughts & if I recommend it…

A few things I noticed:

šŸ‘‰šŸ¼the people are super friendly & locals just have a certain smile, one that truly comes from within
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼most ppl spoke english (sort of surprising) but I managed to communicate easily with translate apps
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼I don’t eat fish — Okinawa is def not the best place for me šŸ˜† BUT, they really do take their purple sweet potato & bitter melon seriously
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼It reminds me of Hawaii a lot! And actually is closer to fly there from Japan than London
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼They have a really(!) nice mall… sort of surprising but went to see the teamLab (after seeing it in Tokyo)
šŸ‘‰šŸ¼I tried Shabu Shabu for the first time. Definitely an interesting experience, overall I’m not a huge fan of the 3 hour dinners Japan does

šŸ‘‰šŸ¼ also, I couldn’t sleep one night and realized it was a super moon, which I always get affected byšŸŒ• I decided to go to the beach at 2am, meditate on some question in my mind. And dance around the water… it is SUPER warm!

Would I go back? No. But super grateful to have gone, met such wonderful staff.

TELL ME — what’s your Japan bucket list location???šŸ‘‡šŸ¼šŸ‘‡šŸ¼šŸ‘‡šŸ¼

Honestly I cannot decide. They all look like a travel magazine cover to meā˜ŗļø

I had so much fun shooting around Hotel Excelsior () in Dubrovnik. So much so, I’m still going through all the content a month later 🫣🫢🫠

This hotel is absolutely going on my favorites list & highly recommend in September as it’s less busy than summer. I will definitely be back next year!

10/10 location, food, staff, ambiance, prices & things to do.

And thank you for insane beautiful photos 🄰 PS - if you are in Dubrovnik I highly recommend do a little shoot to capture your time.

Lost in…Tokyo šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

Saying YES to life led me on a 14-hr flight and 4 nights halfway across the world. Here are some postcard moments from my travels.

From Omakase dinners, to getting a tattoo representing all the magic that has come through uncertainty (including all the 🌈), to having some of the best martinis of my life — it was a blast.

Leave it to me to go to the Edition, FS bar, Conrad & Ritz bc they have views for days, burgers I had to try (at 3 diff hotels lol) + cocktails from the best😬

There’s so much not pictured that I kind of marvel how much I did in such a short time, while dealing with jet lag + a trip to Okinawa.

Anyways, this is your reminder to do the thing. Say yes even if it doesn’t make sense. Go live lifešŸ’•
