Birmingham’s Outlander delivers a powerful debut [edit : this was not their first album as 'The Va**um Machine' saw the light years before this one] full-length with 'Acts of Harm' — a dense, immersive blend of shoegaze, post-rock, doom, and indie that somehow makes perfect sense.

Released a few weeks ago via the always-reliable Church Road Records, the album is available on CD, LP, and digital, and streaming in full on Bandcamp.

Verdict: Pretty damn classy.

Outlander performing songs from their LPs 'Acts Of Harm' and 'The Va**um Machine' entirely live, with no overdubs. This live record was produced by Tom Hill, with video directed by Ben Riou-Pollard at The Bookhouse - Recording Studio in London. Aiming to be a genuine portrayal of the band, showing them as what they are - masters of their craft, delivering huge, powerful soundscapes with elegant nuance.
