We caught up with Yudmila Chunguane, Marine Biologist at 💧 to talk about how swimming is more than just a skill—it’s a tool for empowerment and ocean conservation 🌊

For too long, access to swimming has been unequal—especially for Black and Brown communities. In places like Mozambique, strong tides and fear of the ocean have kept many, especially women, from learning to swim. But through programs like Sea Her Project, that cycle is changing.

Women are learning to swim, dive, and lead in marine conservation, turning fear into confidence and creating future ocean protectors. At SOUL CAP, we’re proud to support inclusivity in swimming, helping break down barriers so that more people feel empowered in the water. ✊🏾

We recently caught up with our ambassador, Alice Dearing, to reflect on her journey beyond the pool. After 18 years of dedication, Alice embraces life after competitive swimming with new energy and fresh perspectives.

We had the pleasure of hosting our very own private screening for the latest movie ‘Young Woman and The Sea’, hosted by the incredible 🌊

It’s a must watch movie based on the extraordinary true story of Trudy Ederle, who overcame adversity and the animosity of a patriarchal society and became the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel.

Thank you to for giving us the opportunity to host and bring together our swimming community. And a BIG thank you to everyone who came along and supported 💘

We are back with our community partner series!

Next up is the incredible - an inspiring non-profit that’s teaching essential swim safety skills to kids in underserved communities in the states 🌊

Founded by brothers Thurman and Torrance back in 2011 in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, it has since gone on to help more than 3,500 people in communities across the US.

From Seattle, San Fransisco to Nashville and New York, Tankproof also supports communities outside of the water by providing education life-essential resources and food security.

They’re out to bring change to the communities they serve — to improve water safety for kids all over the country, and make a positive impact on the troubling statistics that inspired their charity.
