A huge congratulations to our Director of Rugby, Bryony Cleall, on her selection for the Barbarians.

Representing the famous black-and-white jersey is one of rugby’s greatest honours, and it’s fantastic to see Bryony recognised for everything she has contributed to the game throughout her outstanding career.

On 26th June, she will take to the field at Twickenham’s Allianz Stadium as the Barbarians take on Wales.

An inspiration to so many of our players, coaches, and families, and a thoroughly deserved opportunity.

Good luck, Bryony. We’ll all be cheering you on. 🖤🤍🏉

Meet Jaiden. Physically he has always been a powerhouse but it’s been great to see the improvements he’s made in other areas of the game. Jaiden is a keen student of the game and his rugby IQ has grown significantly - and we are now seeing the benefits in the pitch.

No doubt great things ahead for Jaiden and his future! Keep it moving forward. 🔥

Great session with working with our U14 West Girls Academy.

A focus of the session was understanding how to use the whole pitch effectively through good spacing, movement, and accurate passing. The players worked on recognising space, stretching the defence, and moving the ball with purpose to create opportunities across the field.

It was brilliant to see the players growing in confidence and starting to understand how important spacing and width are in developing an effective attacking game.

A huge thank you to Charlotte for sharing her experience and helping drive standards within the programme.

If you want to be part of the ERA Girls Academy pathway, registrations are now open.

It’s been a fantastic season for the ERA Kent Girls Academy.

What’s been most pleasing hasn’t just been results or performances, but seeing how much the players have grown in such a short space of time through consistent hard work, commitment, and willingness to improve.

From where the group started to where they are now, the development has been huge. The intensity, confidence, skill level, understanding of the game, and standards within the environment have all moved forward massively.

The players have fully bought into the process and deserve a huge amount of credit for the effort they’ve put in across the season.

There is still plenty more to come from this group, but the progress made already has been extremely exciting to watch.

A massive thank you as well to all the coaches, parents, and support staff who have supported the programme forward throughout the year.

One of the things we love about our camps at Elite Rugby Academy is the opportunity to spend time developing areas of the game that are hugely important, but don’t always get the attention they deserve during a busy season.

Snap back to one of our recent Easter Camps, one of the key focuses was footwork in close quarters and finishing in the corner.

These are game-changing skills that can make the difference in tight situations, but during the season there often isn’t enough time to really break them down, repeat them, and explore all the details properly.

The camp environment gave players the chance to work on balance, body position, deception, late footwork, edge awareness, and finishing under pressure in a way that simply isn’t always possible when preparing for weekly fixtures.

It was brilliant to see players growing in confidence, experimenting, and developing solutions in tight spaces rather than just relying on speed or power.

Sometimes the biggest improvements come from spending time on the finer details of the game.
