Very excited to welcome our Danish friend to Violet this weekend for a delightful bakery takeover and book signing. I’ve admired Marie’s creations for some time, following her on and her book is no disappointment. Filled with gorgeous recipes I can’t wait to bake and a fresh point of view. in the HOUSE with her bakes. Literature-inspired layer cakes with botanicals of lemon balm and orange blossom from South America and pecan and chocolate and brown sugar pie, trail mix cookies, lemon brioche and a savoury tomato bun too. All today and tomorrow this weekend only!! Mary has brought her British inspired California magic to my California-inspired London bakery. A perfect collab. Please come join us. Mary is an amazing one woman show — baking and selling everything on her own for her wagon bakery every week. Playful twists on classics with wholegrain and heritage flours. I go there every time I’m home and buy one of everything!!! Mary claims that my book was influential to her… well that’s high praise!
