This Friday I'll be taking Distant Relatives to the Rinse FM airwaves from 0900-1100 (BST) 📡🌍

Been listening to the station for nearly 20 years. When it was still pirate, I'd turn the frequency to 100.3FM in the back of my parents' car on the regular 🎛

From when I first started playing at raves in 2007 I'd tune in to Rinse almost daily to hear my favourite DJs; it was an inspiration and foundation for my club sets and radio shows at the time. So this debut show is a special moment for me 📻

Tonight – Tuesday 7th Feb – a special edition of Distant Relatives for 4th bday, featuring an interview w/ the amazing about the community plan in Tottenham.

The plan is a culmination of a decades-long campaign to save what is now London's only surviving latin market. It seeks to secure a democratically-owned space for the benefit of all in the local area and beyond.

Also: I pick 10 records from my collection, as a homage to the melting pot that is Tottenham, including sounds from South America, Latin funk from NYC, Jamaican dub and Congolese soukous.
