Let’s play a game!
Drop your version of A in the comments - what does it mean to you in the world of design and making?
We’ll start:
ADDITIVE - the fabrication process shapes our design, making each piece a story of how it was made. For us it also means the mindset of growth: additive thinking means starting small and expanding creatively.
Your turn !

Hi there, let’s get to know each other. It’s our first time introducing ourselves here. We are Arina and Alina - the creators of ADD:OBJECTS. We love design, technology and making (and four tet)
ADD:OBJECTS - our space to explore ideas that live between digital and physical, from prototypes and experiments to stories about materials, tools and process. We are interested in how things are made and why they matter.
Swipe through the carousel to read more about why we’re doing ADD:OBJECTS and follow us to find out more about us.
Thank you for being here 💕

✨ Festive Countdown 2024 ✨
A little story about this strange object you might have seen last December if you live in Forest Gate.
In 2023, we participated for the first time in the Festive Countdown project on Earlham Grove. This is a local initiative organized by the Forest Gate Community Garden and Zahra, the owner of the apartment where Alina was staying that year. Residents of the street take turns each day, starting from December 1st until Christmas, putting up decorations on their windows. There are also a couple of communal locations, such as the post office and a balcony in social housing.
Throughout the month, the street becomes festive, bringing people closer together and fostering a sense of community. The number 13 and the balcony were assigned to us from last year. And here’s the result of our creativity and effort. This has now become a wonderful tradition that we want to continue supporting.
