And that’s a wrap 🎁 for 2025!

A big, big thank you to all our volunteers at Read Easy Hackney who work with so much dedication and passion within the community.

We don’t get too many opportunities through the year to show appreciation so our Christmas party, hosted and catered for by one of our amazing coordinators Chris, is a lovely way to come together and recognise the year’s efforts.

This year, along with our usual book swap Secret Santa 📚🤶, we also had a feedback board (some anecdotes pictured!) and a Christmas prize draw. So an extra big thank you to the local businesses who heard the work we are doing at Read Easy Hackney and so kindly donated gifts!

Positions we’re looking to fill…

Administrator (Secretary)
Provide vital support for the smooth running of the management team, including taking meeting minutes, keeping records up to date and managing internal and external communications.
Time commitment: 3-4 hrs p/m

Coordinator
Ensure our Readers and Coaches have the day-to-day support they need on their reading journey.
Time commitment: 3+ hrs p/w (during working hours)

Venue Organiser
Get out and about in your community, liaising with local businesses and organisations to find and arrange suitable reading venues for your group.
Time commitment: 3-4 hrs p/m

This winter, we're trying to raise some funds to continue our important work in the community - and of course this isn't limited to book clubs. Film clubs, run clubs, wine clubs - all kinds of clubs welcome. Or maybe you can see an opportunity to fundraise with your family, friends or colleagues.
