Corona Diaries Video 109 - How To Get Your Creative Spark Back……..my Invitation To You!
It’s been a long time since I released a video. Part of the reason is I felt like I had lost my creative spark which made me feel disconnected from myself. That is what creativity is to me, it’s the essence of who we are. I believe as humans we are inherently creative beings and therefore we can practice our creativity in an abundance of ways.
To reconnect with my creative spark I have embarked on 100 Days of Creativity, a project conceptualised by and . I’m doing 100 Days of Haikus because doing this in 2022 brought me immense joy and reconnected me with my voice (those poems are posted on the grid below).
Have you ever felt like you’ve lost your creative spark? Has it been a while since you practised your creativity in an intentional way? Do you want to reconnect with your creativity, yourself and your voice?

It’s that time again!!! The Summer Showcase next Tuesday 15th July Doors open at 745pm for an 8pm start.

AGEING:
I feel strongly that we are valuable and beautiful at every single age. In this patriarchal misogynistic society, women aren’t allowed to just BE and just age exactly as they are - the language always refers to them ageing “gracefully” or ageing “well” or looking good “for their age” and this language is not only perpetrated by men, we women use these words with/against each other too. We hardly ever hear this in relation to men.
So in 2025 I invite all of us to reflect, catch ourselves when we use this language either in our minds or externally. And course correct when we do.
Why? Because we deserve it.
We deserve to just BE - in the fullness of our humanity - no restrictions, no conditions, no limitations.

For me turning 50 was about celebrating with intention with people I love - making memories from moments and getting to spend one on one times that I can look back on and cherish throughout my 50th year. Thank you to those I have celebrated with so far 🥰

The only two things I wanted on my 50th was to feel loved and peaceful on the day and getting to experience those things as well as the unexpected surprise of my cousin’s visit was simply priceless 🤩🥰🎉🥳🎂. Also enjoyed discovering a gorgeous local restaurant called .restaurant in Cockfosters where food and service were sublime 😋
